Czech finance sector: employers refuse real negotiations
Czech Republic Trade Unions towards a stike as employers in the Finance sector have unilaterally decided to not negotiate at sectoral level anymore

After having experienced the difficult situation where Slovak employers in the Finance sector have unilaterally decided to not negotiate at sectoral level anymore, we regret to see a similar development in the Czech Republic.

After 14 months of negotiations with the employers, our Czech affiliate OSPPP decided to abandon the negotiation table because it is evident that the employers are not willing to tackle the real problems of the sector. They have asked help from the ministry of labor but the employers rejected the outcome of this intervention.

The big 4 banks in the Czech Republic are: KBC, Erste, Societe Generale and Unicredit. UNI Europa Finance believes that the EWCs of these companies also have a responsibility to raise this matter.

Here attached the press release by OSPPP and pictures of workers’ protests.
